Writing with Heart

As a young adult, I started journalling, finding my own words  to try and sort out my thoughts and feelings, particularly regarding the opposite sex. Mum was also having problems coping with her youngest child  exerting more independence, which led to considerable conflict between us.

My journalling inevitably turned into prayer, as I sought help from the One who had kept that spark of life in me and helped me navigate my path.

One day, while studying for my Social Work degree, the “stream of consciousness” way of expressing myself in my journalling become more poetic, and suddenly I found myself using poems to give voice to what was on and in my heart.
